Fireproof Document Bag

I don't know how long paper documents would last inside this bag in a fire, but it's well made and I'm sure they'd last longer and survive in much better shape than without it. The two separate compartments will easily hold several hundred pages, more than enough to keep all our difficult to replace important documents. Having everything in this one easy to carry bag, makes it easy to grab in an emergency and not forget anything.

This fireproof bag is a perfect size for storing documents or small items. It is even big enough for a small laptop. It seals tight and is water resistant.

I don’t know if this will make the difference if my entire house burns to the ground, but it seems like it will survive most unexpected mishaps and stand out as where to find important documents. I like that it fits letter/legal documents with some room to spare. I’ve got my will in there and my current and expired passports and it’s locked inside a metal file cabinet, so I think that’s the most I can do short of a fireproof safe. It feels substantial and provides some peace of mind, which for the price is a good value in my book.

This document bag is a great solution.The seller states that it meets the SGS Test UL94 VTM-0, which is a high bar for flammability testing, which I fully believe. I like the large size and two pockets, allowing us to use one side for files and the other for our tablet and other items.For piece of mind, this is money well spent.

I have never had a fireproof/waterproof document bag so I don't have anything to compare it to, but I will say this feels really well made. I was pleasantly surprised with the quality for the price.First, the Velcro latch is super strong. Beneath that are two sections, one for legal sized paperwork (like the kind many mortgages are printed on) and then standard sized documents (like birth/marriage certificates). It has two strong zippers and the over all look of it is well made and secure. I'm really impressed with this.The only con is that it's not going to hold a TON of paperwork but it will definitely hold the most important ones.

Now, hard to say how fireproof something like this is. But I figure something is surely WAY better than nothing. This bag has two zippered sections that easily accommodate letter sized documents behind zippered closures. And both those zippered closures are further secured behind a hook and loop (velcro) flap. This is very similar to other document bags I have, which of course I never hope to test in a real fire. But, if they work as expected, the $17 price tag is a small price to pay.

Very nicely made strong Velcro and 2 zipper compartments hopefully we will never find out how it holds up but peace of mind knowing we have our important information stored safely

I have not tested its fireproof-ness. And I hope I never need to. But the bag is good; it feels substantial, secure.

Its a must have to protect valuables, large size for documents

I plan on making an emergency kit and including copies of important paperwork so we can grab and go in an emergency. The pouch is a nice size, seems sturdy and well made. Whether it is truly fireproof or waterproof, I have no way of testing that to be sure at the moment.

Construction of zipper bag seems very good. Zipper and velco enclosures. Looking inside bag the material for the intended purpose appears good. Based on description and actual appearance, feel pretty confident in this product should an event occur. Nicely packaged and sealed in flat box.(as with any product like this....only an actual event would determine the true effectiveness of it)

Quality material, heavy duty. You can fit a lot of documents in there since it's a larger size. It does give a better sense of security.

This feels really high quality and gives me some peace of mind about protecting important documents. It's also a nice size and provides a central location for important paperwork/items. It's plenty big enough for the whole family set of passports and birth certs and ssn cards etc.I'm not going to set it on fire to test it for you, so we will have to trust the company on that, lol, but it's going into a fire safe too for redundancy anyway.5 stars.

We used to keep our important papers in a deposit box at the bank but we'd rather have them more accessible than that.This is the perfect size for our college diplomas, marriage certificate, birth certificates, and car titles. It hadn't occurred to me to protect important documents from the forces of nature, but with bigger storms all the time, storing paper and vulnerable items securely makes great sense. I have just had docs like a will and birth certificate and other things someone might need if something happens to me, in a notebook. Now I will put them into this case, along with my passport and maybe even some cash.The bag is a little big to store in a regular file cabinet, but it can be stored flat in a drawer. There are two compartments Each has a nice quality zipper at the top of the bag, and then a flap seals over the zippers with a strong "velcro" type product. My laptop would not fit in this, but most tablets and smaller laptops should.Obviously I cannot give an opinion on whether this has held up in fire and water--and I hope I never need to find out. For someone who lives in an area that has experienced fire or flooding in the past couple of years, this is definitely a product to consider.

A friend once joked that replacing his passport was like living out "The Golden Fleece". The hair-raising tension when you even think of your documents being lost is enough to make this water and fireproof envelope an important must-have.There are a couple of compartments inside to separate papers like birth and marriage certificates, car title/registration and passport. I am Not 100% sure about velcro closures and zippers surviving an hours-long conflagration but the closure has been carefully designed to rest against the outer surface and not the inner space of the envelope. It will absolutely will give you extra time and protection, especially if your local firemen come to the rescue as quickly as all the ones I've known. But If it's paper and just sitting in a file cabinet or drawer without a protective sleeve like this one, it's gone in seconds. If you have a big family, you may want a couple of them.
