Emergency Fire Blanket

Save our house from catching on fire. We bought battery operated shades from the Shade Store. The battery on the shades spontaneously exploded in our bedroom. We covered the battery fire with this blanked which EXSTINGUISHED THE BATTERY FIRE! So grateful we had these blankets handy.

I bought these as Christmas presents for everyone in my family two years ago. Last week my niece messaged me this picture and told me ‘thank you, you saved us! They work!’ You don’t know till you need to, but proof positive, they do work. Hope you never need one, but have some on standby just in case!Edit: this was a kitchen fire and she threw it over a pot that was on fire

Our bathroom ceiling fan caught on fire in the middle of the night. The fan was burning on the floor when the fire alarm woke me. I was able to throw the fire blanket on the fire. It was so easy to use. Pulled it out of the bag and threw it over the fire. If the fire had been bigger I would have used a fire extinguisher. I think this size is great for an adult to use and manage easily. And if it were a kitchen fire would easily cover the stove which was my original reason for purchasing now that my kids can cook on their own. It put the fire out and our fire was contained to the one room. We just ordered more fire blankets. Highly recommend having them on different floors of the house, not just in the kitchen. I also am going to add them to our car kits. I don’t know if fire blankets are meant to be reused. I am just going to throw it out and get new ones just to get rid of the fire smell. They seriously work exactly as advertised! The cost is so little when compared to what damage the fire could have done if left to burn.

Used this when a grease fire erupted from an unattended skillet and I can confirm that it did work to contain the fire while we grabbed the extinguisher. This blanket was near the stove and in easy reach so we quickly tossed this on top of the rather large fire. While it didn't put it out completely, it did contain it very well while we unboxed the brand new extinguisher we hadn't opened yet.This blanket would work best on smaller fires if used immediately, but this is NOT a replacement for an extinguisher. I'll keep these around for immediate response, but always keep an extinguisher on hand to really complete the job.

So I am going to start by saying I’m so happy I bought these. I’m the type of person that likes to be prepared for anything. I live in Florida so I grill/smoke 90% of the time. I had just finished cooking burgers and mentioned to my husband I think it’s time for a new grill (we’ve replaced slats etc). He went to the store and I decided to clean the grill for the time being turned it on let some grease burn off.. turned around and full fire! I’m not sure how to use an extinguisher or where it is. I bought 2 of these 1 for garage and 1 for kitchen. I grabbed the closest one and threw it on top. I didn’t read how long it takes so I was a little panicked. I called my husband to hurry home. He told me to put water on it with the hose but I don’t think you’re supposed to?? So I didn’t. 5+ minutes later it was finally out. I thought they were reusable but I don’t think they are nor do I want to test it so I’ll definitely be buying a replacement for the kitchen and maybe one for my car. Just wish they were bigger

So, I decided to prove my point and turned my highest heat gas range stove on to 100% expecting it to melt or burn. It smoked for a bit but after 30 seconds & under the highest flame I could provide........ It did neither but just smoked and "dis-colored" a bit. I was humbly on this point.....Well....Wrong.

I really wanted to like this item. Having something my 13 year old can easily use in case of emergency was my goal in purchasing fire blankets for our home. We discussed how to use them and then she wanted to try pulling one out. Well, one quick pull from my not so athletic child and the tabs came completely off the blanket, it didn’t even loosen the Velcro a little bit. So if you need to remove one for use, I recommend loosening the Velcro on the pouch first before pulling the blanket out - tabs are useless.

I was excited to receive the fire blankets. I’ve not had a fire for many years, but this is a comfort level that I appreciate. I would definitely recommend people to have at least one in their home. I have one in my home office that can take care of the back part of my house. And the one hanging in my garage can take care of my family room, kitchen and dining room. Buy some and give them as gifts!!

Child put a flammable item in the microwave and 60 seconds later there were flames. Microwave is built-in to wooden cabinetry. This blanket saved our house.

After reviewing this product on You Tube I added it to my home’s fire protection plan. For stove top, grill and other similar fires this product is appropriate and much, much cleaner than using an extinguisher. All plans must be thought thru, practiced and planned. It’s a product that I’m glad to have but hope that I never need to use. I have one in my kitchen and one in my home’s breezeway. I’m considering getting some more for Christmas presents for my kids homes.

If I could give 10 stars I would. Never would I think my child would put a pizza box in our oven, but here we are- I set the broiler in my brand new Bosch oven and turned around to start cooking and smelled something burning- when I opened the oven it was engulfed in flames. I ran to get the fire blanket while my husband pulled the box out of the oven to try and keep the oven and cabinets from fully being engulfed. I threw the blanket over top and it immediately started to work.Here we are, 45 min later, and the pizza box still has embers, but everything is contained. This could’ve and would’ve ended in disaster if it weren’t for Jesus looking after us and this blanket. GET ONE TODAY!And never throw a pizza box in the oven EVER!

I hung this in my kitchen pantry, which is near my stove so I will always have easy access to it in case I ever have a fire.

I'd give a higher review but have not had to use bought and gave three away to friends and family.

I recently bought these blankets just to have around for peace of mind. On sept, 15 2023 my vacuum was on charge and the lithium battery caught on fire. I threw the blanket on the vacuum and it absolutely smothered the fire. The fire dept was so impressed that it worked as intended. I 100 percent will purchase these again and will be forever grateful that I had them.

I had hoped to not use these after buying them a year or 2 ago. I found out how good they were the other day when I had a fire on my stove. I didn't have a pan on fire, but didn't realize that a burner had been turned on by accident and that is what caused the Instapot to be on fire. It could not totally make the fire go out until I figure out that the burner was on. I was able to carry the burning insta-pot out side with the fire blanket on it - it kept me from being burned (had on pot holder type gloves on also). I don't recommend carrying something like that out when it is on fire, but it seemed to be the best course of action at the time!! Thank you for your wonderful product. I ordered 2 more already!!
